One Month Anniversary!

Wow we can’t believe we have been only blogging for a month and we’ve already had such great response. Thank you to everyone who has followed our blog (tumblr), twitter and Instagram. Make sure to add us on Goodreads. A few updates on what’s been happening:

We are currently reading:  The 100 by Kass Morgan andAll The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven.

We also participated in a literary hashtag #weedreads for 4/20 and our tweet made it onto Buzzfeed (ak!) here’s the post.

We were nominated for the Liebster Award, which is a way for new bloggers to gain more viewers and followers in the blogging community. Our post about it is here.

To thank all of our followers, we have decided we are doing a giveaway. We are giving away a signed copy of Red Queen, Snow Like Ashes and The Cemetery Boys. More information is provided here.

We have also received our first ARCS! We received Karen McQuestion’s From A Distant Star via Netgalley (review here) and Mary Elizabeth Summer’s Trust Me, I’m Trouble, the sequel to Trust Me, I’m Lying (review for Trust Me, I’m Lying here). We are still working on the review for Trust Me, I’m Trouble and hope to have it done within the next two weeks.

Other than that, we’ve attended a book signing that was hosted at The University Bookstore and there are a few more headed our way.  On April 30, Sabaa Tahir will be at the University Bookstore doing a book signing for An Ember In The Ashes. The big event that we are going to is Rosamund Hodge’s book release of Crimson Bound that is at the Mockingbird Books.

We have been a little despondent over the YALLWest tweets and the LA Times Book Festival photos that went on this month. We love Seattle, but we are seriously missing out on all the great book conventions. Here’s a shout out to YA authors that have come to Seattle. To all the YA authors who haven’t – there are a lot of Seattlelites who would die of happiness if you came and did a book signing (aka us). That’s all for now, drop us a line here or on twitter we love hearing from you!  – AAG & YYOT
